The Data-Driven Engineering Research Centre exploits the state-of-the-art facilities of the Aeronautics Department, which hosts cutting-edge facilities for research and teaching with some of the equipment being unique to the UK.
Our facilities support computational and experimental projects in fluid mechanics, structural analysis, composites, optimisation and control and aircraft design.
The data produced is leveraged to create accurate models, which combine numerical methods with machine learning.
